EARLY MAGPIE MEMORIES FROM ROY - Magpies 1948

the first match I watched Wests play was at Pratten park, I guess it was about 1949, I was about 10, they were playing Balmain and wests won by bout 50 points, I think.

I remember Keith Holman being immaculatly dressed and groomed, and Frank Stanmore playing alongside him, they were majic together,they seemed to read each others minds.

I followed them through from that time going to all three grades and knew all the players in all three grades.
