Jim Drake. There was a story that Jim Drake was in the tunnel at the Boulevard, Home of Hull FC the club he played for before moving across the city to play for Hull Kr, and the opposition were St Helens.

They had signed a South African forward who they called a man of steel.

Drake went up to him and said I see you are the man of steel, lets see how hard South African steel is and punched him very hard in the stomach.

The ref blew his whistle and both teams ran out on the field with the South African still doubled up.
