Title: ... p44 - Comments on Blocker Roach
Blocker's style of play was from the old school. I grew up a big Balmian fan and played front row all through my younger years.

I was always trying to emulate him; the way he smashed his opposite, the way he could throw a 30 yard pass to set up a centre running well wide of the ruck.

He had a good turn of agility for a man his size and he was a character! Which is what is lacking these days.
