Title: ... p64 - Reg Gasnier - Memories by Ron Lee

The first ever Rugby League game I saw was when a friend's parents took us to the Sydney Cricket Ground in the winter of 1964 to see St George play Balmain.
I watched the best attacking player I've ever seen (Reg Gasnier) and the best defensive player (Johnny Raper).
Also in that St George team was Ian Walsh, Elton Rasmussen, Billy Smith, Johnny King and Dick Huddart. How could I support any other team?
Fast forward to 1995 when I was asked to perform as a after-dinner speaker for a company called Renown & Pearlite, where Reg Gasnier was a senior account director. I spoke at the dinner and conducted a training session the next day, so I am privileged to be able to say that I trained Reg Gasnier, a day I will always remember.
