Roger Millward Player Profile
The baby face and diminutive frame are a guise. They mask a football talent that tormented Aussies for more than a decade. Roger the Dodger made his test debut at Leeds in 67 scoring 9 of his sides 16 points. the Poms won 16-11. He caused havoc during the tour of 70 and was chiefly responsible for the ashes last returning to England.
His short stint with the Sharks merely enhanced his reputation as one of the post war greats of Rugby League.
Roger Millward MBE was one of the first league player to be honoured by the Queen. - receiving an MBE, (but he should of been knighted - Quigs)

Artic cold conditions and an ice covered surface greeted the Aussies for the third test. Officials laid 18 tonnes of straw over the pitch in an effort to reduce the ice. Ground staff placed 44 gallon drums of hot coals on the surface in effort to thaw it out. All soccer matches and Race meetings had already been called off. Bob Fulton was quoted as saying it was without doubt the worst conditions he had ever played in.
